Temples & water palaces
East Bali is quieter, wilder and full of history. You'll see the famous Gate of Heaven with Mount Agung in the background, stroll through the water gardens of the former kings of Karangasem and end the day in the crystal-clear water of the Blue Lagoon.
Times are a rough guide. I'll plan the details with you – depending on your wishes, the season and the traffic.

The split gate frames Mount Agung like a picture. The earlier you arrive, the shorter the queue for the famous photo – which is why I recommend an early start.

Two royal water palaces: Tirta Gangga with its stepping stones and fountains, or Taman Ujung with its elegant pavilions on a large lake. I'll help you choose.

A small bay near Padangbai with calm, clear water, colourful fish and coral – perfect for snorkelling, even for beginners.
Tell me your date, where you're staying and how many you are – I'll suggest a route and the best start time and get back to you quickly.
